This is a sorry excuse even for a place holder for a homepage... No wait! It's finished! It represents our cry for visually talented (i.e. graphic artists/designers) people to join the project. Perfect, now I can cross that off the to-do list.
About Zangerland
Zangerland is a trial in technical expertise, creativity and most of all imaginative and falmboyant dreamery.
Ultimately it will be mud-like, AJAX powered, massively multi-player, intensely intelligent (artificially), Humongously hugely, never ending, and most of all fun fun fun fun fun. Did I mention fun?
Zangerland Bits
Here is what we got:
- Zangerland Wiki definitely the most important item so far!
- Zangerland Client v2 currently the most functional client into the game.
- Zangerland Client v3 client in the new layout. Now we just need that visual artist...
- Zangerland Map Editor v1 the first primitive map editor, used to create all current... erm... environments...
- Zangerland Map Editor v2 the super, mega (upcomming) map editor. This one will link right into the live db and let you edit ANYWHERE in the world. A builders (wet) dreams come true
- Zangerland v0.0.2 New ideas for a better core design.
Zangerland Trials and Tribulations
These are bits of tech demos that test various ideas as to how to make things happen:
- GUI Test GUI layout and functionality
- Sound Text cross-browser sound without flash.
- Zang Chat real-time server pushing ajax behaviour. Even better then GTalk, but buggy.
